I received the same call and am filing a complaint with the attorney general's office in my state because pay day loans are illegal in my state and they will deal with them directly. They wanted me to give them a prepaid creidt ard no. I told her I would call back on Monday because it will allow me time to file the complaint online.
We received a call asking for my wife. They are claiming my wife took out a Pay Day loan more than 2 years ago. They also left us a voicemail advising that someone had tried to deliver my wife, papers and they weren't successful and they knew our current address. They also provided a case number and that if we were not able to be there, they could deliver to our attorney. Caller ID showed and in state phone number 334-269-8552 but the voice mail message said to call their direct number which was 302-725-0119 which is in Deleware. I had a message on my phone from a Texas number, stating that they were trying to reach me. She stated that there was paperwork on her desk for a case in Washington County, and she wanted to get in touch with me because the paperwork that I was waiting on could not be delivered at my home address, and she needed to verify the information because she was confused as to whether it wasn't delivered because I wasn't home or because the address was not correct. She also had the last 4 digits of my license plate number and vehicle year, make, and model. She sounded rather annoyed on the voicemail, and left a number to call back that is not a Texas number. It's a Delaware number....strange. I haven't been waiting on any paperwork....and I haven't requested any paperwork....I have no idea who these people are. People really need to look into this website. Some of these "debt collectors" are breaking the law....

I just got the same call with the same message as everyone else. They called from one number and said to call them at a 302 number. Has anyone checked into thus yo see if this is a scam?
