Who called from 3050001795

Just got one a few minutes ago--didn't even bother to answer.  If there is nothing on Caller ID, I don't answer and Google it later to see if it is anyone I want to talk with.  The Do Not Call list is a big joke.

I received a call from this number today, 7/14/2009 at 4:11pm.  They said they were calling about my credit card account.  I don't have a credit card.  This isn't the first time I've received one of these calls.  The recording said to press "9" if I wanted to talk about lowering my interest rates....   so I pressed "9".  After about 8 rings, a young man came on the line and asked if I was calling to lower my rate on my credit card account.  I told him I was calling because my number is on the Do Not Call registry and I want the calls to stop.  He said they were calling about my credit card account and I told him that was not true because I don't have a credit card and I want the calls stopped.  I said either the calls stop or I'm reporting them.  He said there was no way for him to take my number off the call list.  I asked him who he worked for and who I need to talk to in order to get my number off the list.  The young man said he'd get someone on the line to talk to me and put me on hold.  Big surprise, the line disconnected.

This number was on my call back today 07/14/09.
I tried calling the number back and just get a busy
signal!

I have gotten calls from this number several times. I and never understand the speaker when the give the name of the company that they are calling from, or their name. I the only credit cards I hold are one strictly for Walmart and another strictly for Lowe's. I have called both of these companies and they have assured me that they are not the ones making the phone calls to lower my interest rates. I do not know who these people are, or what company they work for, but I do wish the calls would stop. I also have my phone registered with the national do not call registry, but it does not seem to affect this phone #.
