Received an automated call from this spoofed number on the caller ID which just says "Florida call". We are on the do not call list.It was a credit card offer. I decided to select #9 to talk to a live person to complain about their calls! Wehn a live person answered I asked where they got our number, and that we are on the do not call list. She said that "doesn't mean anything" (!) To which I replied of course it does! She answered well we are calling you aren't we?! I replied that the government would track them down and fine them and put them out of business..but she had quickly hung up.

This number spam calls our office line each and every day. They always hang up on me when they realize we are on to their game. I recently tried the approach "oh yes I'm responding to this great low interest rate", to which they responded, oh great Ms. ____ name of our business. I said, "that's the name of a business, you honestly think that's a person's name? Give me the full name, the account number, the phone number and the address associated with this alleged account," to which they immediately hung up. When I try to call back I get an automated message that I can't dial the number because it's out of my service area.
This is so obviously a scam to trick people and it's a real shame that nothing can be done to prevent this. Is their any way to prevent this and/or report them to the authorities so they can be shut down?
I just hope no one gets on their list, it seems about impossible to opt out.
Same credit card interest reduction call - when I pressed 9 to tell them to stop calling me I barely got two words out before they hung up on me - 2nd time this has happened. I do not have Caller ID so had to use a code to get the phone number read back to me & will have to pay my phone provider for that service. Unfortunately their service only provides the phone number, not the company name.
