This is the second time they've called. I have Caller ID (also No Call Registry) and don't answer calls I don't recognize. They don't hang up until they've listened to my outgoing message.
I've received numerous calls stating "this is about your credit card" and "last chance to reduce your interest rate." I usually just hang up on the robo-caller, but was tired of the recurrance since I'm on the do-not-call list. So this time I accepted the call and spoke to a live person at 11:35am today and immediately asked what credit card company they were with, and when told they represented many, I asked to be removed from their calling list. The sales person just ignored my request and kept asking if I had credit card debt. Every time I responded "please remove me from your list" he just went right back into the spiel asking if I had credit card debt. When I finally said "no and please remove..." I was hung up on.
Wow! This company must be training their people to be offensive enough to make sure they are reported to the fcc do-not-call complaint site. I was certainly willing to take the time to *69 to get the phone number of the incoming call, go to the fcc website and file a detailed complaint, and google the number to come here and complain as well. Hope these aggressive tactics are not only stopped, but that everyone from owners to employees who know they are violating do not call regulations are heavily fined. Have a nice day!
