Area code 305 seems legit enough, but prefix "000"??? Who the heck has a prefix of 000? That's gotta be worse than television prefixes of 555! It doesn't exist! So, in looking up this number I find this report and many comments from others receiving calls from this number and similar numbers as well... So, what I want to know is... who is reviewing this log and is anyone going to do anything about it! Where it may be true that this does not constitute an invasion of "Constitutional Rights", ie: rights to privacy... Shouldn't it be stated, at the very least that these continuous phone calls be a form of harassment?
I did not receive a message from anyone, as the call came in to my fax machine. (I only hope their ears are still ringing!) The "harassment" of these types of calls to me is that it is a home "business" and, guess what...???!!! I have no credit cards nor have I had any credit cards since 1987!!!
So again I ask, what happens here with this log? Does it get reviewed? And can anyone really do anything about these harassing and annoying phone calls?
Having a whistle by the phone will prove nothing other than you are a raging a$$hole. Being polite and calm with agents who are doing nothing then trying to earn a paycheck will get you places. Didn't you listen to your mother when she taught you to treat others as you would like to be treated? If you want to be angry with someone, be angry with the company heads.
I Got a call from 305-000-4523 from a recorded females voice to lower the interest rate on my credit card. Press *9 to talk to a "person" who wanted my name and the number on the back of the card. After I DID NOT give him any info. I called the Better Business Bureau and they have a complete page on this SCAM. Anyone on the DO NOT CALL LIST are not to get these calls. They (the representative) said the do not call list is not included with these calls!!!!! GO figure!
If you have ever had a credit card OR owe debt on a card, they are calling to collect what they can, you people need to understand that the DO NOT CALL registry DOES NOT INCLUDE BILL COLLECTORS....pay you debts and you won't be called all the time!! PLAIN AND SIMPLE
Ok who ever you are... I had a credit card and when I lost my job due to company downsizing, I paid it off and cancled it so we wouldn't use it to pay bills or go shopping. That was over a year ago. They just called me and I pushed 9 to talk to a representative, when he came on the phone, 10 he pushed buttons in my ear, 2. I told them that I do not have any credit cards and asked them to put me on their do not call list. He huffed & puffed in the phone and hung up on me. These guys are not creditors they are people who are out to get money from honest suffering AMERICAN families. My brother, who has never had a credit card, has gotten these calls as well. Plus they have called asking for my grandparents who died 11 years ago. So please tell me how they are a collection company!!!
TOTAL SCAM!!!! I don't have a CC! Bet I'd be confused if I did though! I've traced this phone number back several years ago. I spoke directly with the people running the show, and they claimed denial to the whole thing. They will not respond well if you manage to trace their automated call outs.
DO NOT PRESS THE RESPONSE KEYS!!! This merely verifies the validity of your phone number. These type of companies don't respect do not call, that's why they called in the first place.
