Call came 10 am, recorded message said I could get a reduced rate for my credit card. I don't have any credit cards. Clicked 1 as indicated to speak to someone. Individual was unclear when they answered, call center sounds behind the voice. I asked what the message was about and hung up.
Just called my phone but I didn't answer. No voicemail. I called the number back and it went to a cell phone voicemail box which was full for someone named "Call"?? Couldn't really make out the recording.
I got the same thing just now (3:20pm on 8/30). I received the exact same call from another number (216-212-1703) this morning. Both times when I call back I get a "full" voicemail box. When I told them I owed less than $5000 and asked to be added to their do-not-call list, they hung up.
I get these messages on my machine all the time. Today they called my cell. I pressed 1 and said "How did you get my cell phone number. I need to be taken off of your list immediately" She hung up. I called back the number and the mailbox was full. How annoying. Ogal, great idea!!!
Call from "Credit card services" press 1 to talk to a representative. I did that to get my cell number taken off their list. Initial response: "Would you like a lower interest rate?" I replied, "No, but I would like to. . . " They hung up. Has to be a SCAM -- legally they have to take your number off their list if you request it.
