My mother called today, wanting me to Google this number. They've called her twice. Once, this past Saturday and then again today. They are attempting to get her bank account information, etc. She refused to give them the information and stated she would simply call her bank. They hung up on her. I have to admit, I was very proud of and for my mom, for recognizing it was a scam. I told her that the often make it sound very believable. She said this was ridiculous and hopefully ANYONE would be able to tell they were scammers/identity thieves. She called the Sheriff Dept and had a deputy come out. She filed a report, I believe. He asked her for the number on the caller ID, which was the 305-222-7707 and called it from his cell phone. Of course, no answer. On this page alone, I see posts dating back to 2011. How can this go on this long? Is there ANYTHING that can be done, to put a stop to this particular number? Better yet, is there any way we could find out WHO this group of scammers are and have them charged/fined/jailed? I am usually good at investigating things and getting answers, but this is unchartered territory for me. (My mom also alerted some friends and neighbors of the incident, so that they would (hopefully) be less likely to fall into this trap.) I want them stopped and held accountable!
These people have had numerous contacts with my 86 year old mother. She knows to have anyone calling about bank accounts or money contact me on my cell. These people did and I finally got to talk to them. I found out they had scammed her out of $297.00 for "Fraud Protection" a couple years ago and I discovered it too late to get her money back. Now they call and say because of my mother's age they will give her a "Lifetime" membership for only $289.00. They did not like what I had to say to them at all and I have not been able to contact them through this number since. I guess their "do not call" list works better for them than it does for the rest of us!!!!!!
My credit card was dupicated and guess what...used in Florida. My credit card company froze the account before the thieves could buy too much but now I just recieved a call from 305-222-7707. I missed the call and they didn't leave a message. If you get a call from them be sure you check you're credit card statements as well...this might be how he's getting the phone numbers and names to start.
When they call its florida fraud and identity theft protection all they want is your bank info so dont answer any calls with 3052227707 number ENOUGH IS ENOUGH leave the elderly alone and when you call the number back it is disconnected
I got the same call today a lady saying they wanted to renew my identity and fraud protection through my bank and when i asked her "what bank" she said uumm i dont have the name of your bank but i have your account number i asked her to repeat my number back to me and she said oh i will have to call you back with that information and she hung up real quick. when i tried to call the number back 305-222-7707 all it did was ring no one answered then i tried to call again and a recording came on and said it was a non working number.... its so frustrating and something needs to be done....
they have called our house asking for my father-in-law by name and proceed to by telling us the are with our banks fraud department, just to scam you and take moneies from your account.
