A man with some type of accent called and left a message that I was in trouble with the IRS for tax fraud. REALLY??? He left the phone number and instructions to call, or have my attorney call, immediately. Obliviously a scam of some sort since they could not have been sure who they left the message for as they never once used my name, or for that matter ANY name. Wonder what they would do if I actually had my attorney call them?? Too bad that people like this will never be prosecuted. This would be a good situation to implement an good old fashioned but kicking:)
Classic fraud!!! When the clown calls you back and asks for a bunch of information, ask them for the case number and which U.S. District Court the case was filed in. Tax fraud cases are heard by U.S. District Courts. The IRS will not send a local sheriff for you. We asked the [***] what our case number was and he says "A as in [***]." Ha ha!!!!!! Surprised the moron even knows what that is!!!!
Just got a call from a ridiculous 'intimidating' man.....just block it and pass the word to your parents and/or senior citizen friends. They are the people that could really get hurt and scared from nutjobs like the one that called me.
Bogus IRS call from accented man. Same call with same message twice. First number was 305-230-4461. Blocked!
Second time they called from 305-230-4462. BLOCKED again.
