I received ANOTHER call from this company this afternoon. (We have also tried to have our numbers removed when they call and they either laughed and said, "sure," or just hung up. But, today I played along and acted as if I wanted to purchase their product. I asked her which company she was calling from and she said, "Dealer Services" they have a web-site http://dealerservices.info/info.asp I have forwared that on to the FCC as well as sent them a nasty email on their "contact us" section of the web-site. Let's see if that works or not.
This is one of those "warranty" calls we keep recieving - even though our cars are from 1969 and 1985 respectively. Obviously a scam, and we were trying to tell the 'operator' (who only speaks to you after an automated message system answers the phone) to take us off whatever list we're on, and the man on the phone hung up.
.. and when you try to call the number back it rings then says disconnected.
Hmm clever way to avoid incoming complaints. Obviously a phoney outgoing number to barely comply with FCC laws.
And they wont leave a recorded message, in case a particular state bans recorded automated messages.
I got these calls but they don't leave a message. The only information that I have that doesn't seem to be listed in any of the postings in this list is that the number is showing up as being from Miami Fl. I hope this helps someone stop the calls!
