Calling about my Windows computer. I said "which one?" He said all of them are on the same internet. And I said "no they are not." I asked him to give me the machine number...he hestitated....I told him he was a scammer, to which he replied I am a liar. Great fun these jokers are. Said he was calling from a company called "E-Life" Came up as Marathon, Floriday.
Computer Hijack crooks: I got a call from this number. Person with a bad accent saying my computer was being accessed by unauthorized people. He asked me to log into the computer and give him access to "protect it". I told him I'm a computer tech, he hung up before I finished the word "tech".
No one on the line. Probably spoofing some poor person's phone #. I've starting noticing this, and suspect the carriers have started looking up the phone number in a database and getting a name instead of just a city.
SCAM!! A man w/a middle Eastern accent called wanting to know if I was having problems with my computer I told him no take my number off of your list then he called me a [***]. Then he went on and said that's why we blew up the twin towers and will kill your president next, then hung up.
