I've been having the same problem for the past two months, receiving the following texts:
"CELL 786-389-6345 We Buy Junk Cars $450-500 Compro carros $450-500" and also "786-333-9573 Cash for Junk Cars$450-500 Compro Carros $450-500"
The numbers the texts come from are disconnected when i call them back which means they are being sent from some internet service. As for the numbers in the text message I get the same problem everyone else has had here. Some girl picks up and when i tell them to remove me form their text list they say It's been done and a week later I get the same texts.
Finally I decided to spend the whole day calling them and telling them to remove my number and I wouldn't stop until i got a verifiable way of knowing it's been done. After a few hours they ignored my calls (a few times they would pick up) and sent them straight to voice mail which was already full. The second day I started doing this the same thing happened, except they called me back with the same "Compro carros" spiel.
After that I decided to find out if there was anything Legal I could do. I first called Miami Consumer protection agency and they referred me to the federal Do Not Call List, even though they don't cover Text messages and the numbers they are sending texts from is not a valid number. I then called the Florida Inspector General office but they couldn't help me either because they deal with state agencies only,. They did refer me to the Fla. Dept of Agriculture and consumer services. They couldn't help either because they were text messages and I also didn't have the name of the business. They also suggested I call my Cell phone company to have the number blocked but that's not going to work either.
So where does that leave me (and us)? This coming week I might do like another poster suggested. Tell them I have a car to sell and give them a random address and have them waste gas. I was thinking about confronting whoever shows up but that could become dangerous because the type of people that run these business and live here in Miami are the angry type.
Another tactic I'm going to use is sign up the cell phone numbers that are included in the text to on-line text services like jokes, trivia, horoscopes, maybe even porn site. These services charge your bill without notice and the burden is on you to call your cell company and have the charges removed so maybe this will be a nice annoyance to whoever runs this business and the girls that answer the phone.
I'll be happy to hear any other ideas and experience with this problem.

The latest of these messages came in after 11pm last night and woke me up. The originating number was 786-600-5909. Several listing services show this number being serviced by bandwidth.com LLC, also a Miami company. I called Bandwidth.com and they denied it was their number, claiming it belongs to TMobile, yet having no explaination how whitepages.com and others have it listed as BANDWIDTH.COM and none shows it owned by TMobile. And why can't I find a "report abuse" number for Tmobile on their websights to be used by someone WITHOUT a tmobile account number?
If I can find out in 5 minutes who is selling this service to these criminals, why can't the POLICE do anything about these criminals?? Why can't my phone carrier, MetroPCS do anything? Why do they all say it is untraceable and they can't stop it? That is A LIE!! We need to send this all over the internet - shame these companies with bad PR. Bandwidth.com, TMobile, MetroPCS you are helping criminals!!!
