Number called earlier today. I didn't answer, and they left no message. Will assume that it is our friends from Microsoft-India calling to help us. :-)
Heavy Indian accent. Told him to take my name off his call list and he hung up. Same guy calls about once a week on a different number. I block the number each time but they always call again.
A gentleman with an Indian accent just called me, asking for me by name, from this number claiming to be from the "State Medical Department" . Said he wanted to talk to me about compensation that is due to me because of a blood thinner I may have had in the past and a bladder surgery I had. I asked him to repeat himself and he asked me if I had taken these blood thinners or had this surgery in the past. I refused to answer his questions, but asking him more about why he was calling. He hung up on me.
I got a call today said they were calling from NYS Health Department. I questioned why they were calling from Miami Florida if this is for NYS Health Department. I ask for telephone number for the local office they gave me 315-350-4244. This is not the NYS Health Department. It's a person's personal cell phone. At first the guy said he was calling me on blood thiners I took. Then asked if I took any blood thinners. I said I thought you knew I took them. So why are you questioning this. The first guy gave me name of Mike Walters and he transfered me to Steve Watson. Both men with indian accents. I asked Steve Watson to take me off his call list and he replied NO and just wait on how many phone calls you will get from me now. Then he procedded to press the phone buttons in my ear. I hung up and blocked this number. BEWARE this is a scam. NYS Health department would not call you like that.
