I work for a power company in Florida. Customers are stating they received a call from this number saying they are from "The Electric Company" and your bill is past due. Some customers are failing to check the accuracy of this information with their power company. Therefore, they take the instructed dollar amount given along with an account number to either a CVS or Walmart. Their cash payment is then going directly to this scam. Sad to say, most people are trusting in every phone call they receive and do as instructed.SCAM - just like the Obama electric bill scam. Wake up people! Please report this to your power company so we can get the word out.
Scam organization. Spanish speakers. Pretend to be from FPL's "Activation and Legal Department" Line: There was a problem with your payment several months ago. You must send cash via CVS.... Unbelievable.

Same thing here. They call my erderly dad and say the same thing about FPL. Since he went on vacation a couple of months ago he belived that the check bounced. He went to CVS and bought a MoneyPack card. He provided him the number. Amount lost : $200, Name Carlos Suarez.
Did any victims of this scam recently pay their bill through a check cashing place or an fpl payment center? My guess is it is an inside job. Ethier fpl or these pay centers are giving out the vics info.
