Good afternoon , I live in Portugal and my husband yesterday received a call from this number , it was fortunate that did not answer the phone ... are great kook that have nothing to do except to deceive the people ...
Just got a phone call, saying that they were from an American Diabetic Company, offering free testing. I'm in Canada... Oye. Once I said that, they hung up. I tried calling back and it said the number was out of service.
I let the call go through to voicemail. They left a message saying it was Chelsea Associates calling about a property in a town I used to live in (over 10 years ago). These guys have been calling me for months, now that I am no longer responding to their calls they are trying from different numbers, each time warning "this is the last attempt to contact you."
I spoke with them a few weeks back and the guy said he was trying to collect a debt on a credit card with a number I never had and a bank I never worked with. He had a ton of information about me, most of it severely out of date or just plain wrong. The second time I spoke with them I told him they had to send me documentation of the debt, he started threatening me with legal action (which is impossible on a debt that is so old) and yelling at me. I hung up and refuse to answer their calls anymore.
Chelsea Associates are definitely scammers and it is interesting that they have now started using this number which is obviously being used by all kinds of scammers. Better just to ignore these calls.
I just got a call from this number today from chelsea associates they say they are in irvine ca they have been using two other numbers as well. The first conversation I had wIth them they said they were collecting for a client that had a bank first credit say I owed for like 3,700 after doing research I can't find anything on this card they say I owe! I also have done a lot of research on the company and find anything I even called irvines business license dep and they have no company by that name. I blocked the other numbers from my phone and now they are using this number I've had the same experience as the one above! Last week my husband spoke with someone by the name of Alex he says the credit card they are trying to collect is now a first bank/ chase card. We got a credit card number and called chase they have no record of it and even ran my ss. These people are starting to make me mad I wish they would leave me alone . Any advice how to get these idiots to stop?
