My father recieved a call from this number and 561-983-4653, 786-207-2561, 954-674-6537, 305-359-5731. The first number called claiming to be Univision and that my number was picked to win a prize of medical insurance for one year, and utility plan where I would only pay $20 a month for my light bill, a credit card with $500, and a watch. Joking around, my father accepted it and they told him he had to hand them a money order of $279 for FedEx shipping. He refused to pay and days later he recieved threatning calls saying that they have his calls recorded and he would have to pay because he accepted the gifts- my father hung up. Once again he got a different call, but this time the caller claimed to be a government lawyer and he was being searched and would take measures against him because he owed money. My father said he wasn't available and hung up. I suggest you become aware of such calls and I thank all the other reporter for clearing this doubt because what they tried to do was scare him into giving them money.
File a formal complaint. This is a boiler room operation that calls to convince you that you placed some order with them and that they will sue if you do not pay up. They reveal no information and become relentless in harassing you with calls. This is a sham operation. they also have many other numbers that they call from. DO NOT GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFO ESPECIALLY CREDIT CARD OR BANKING INFO! I now have a client that is caught uo in the mess and was ready to send them money just to stop the calls. Use your consumer rights. File with your local attorney general, State attorney, Federal Trade commission and any other agency you have available to you. You can also file a claim if you are not on the do not call list. Get wise people and use the agencies that collect tax dollars for services to you and help to close down these operations. You would be surprised how many people are fleeced in this manner. By your effort in filing complaints you help yourself and others that are not as sophisticated or educated as you are. Take a little time to fight back.
You may also file a Fair Debt Collection Practices Act for suit against them. However you must first send them a validation of debt request. Go to the Federal Trade Commission website to find out more on how to do this.https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/
You may also have a claim under the do not call list Act.
Other numbers alleged to be from the same operation are below. These numbers were all collected in one day from one victim. They will continue calling if they feel that you are an easy victim. Don't fall for their scam. The stories may be different. However the result is the same to get you to send them money for nothing!
