Kinda funny that these jerks called us today. We are actually scheduled to have taxes done tomorrow. Taxes aren't due until April 15 and the IRS is already trying to arrest us.
When I accidentally answered, I heard a "pre-recorded" message that was clearly text-to-speach claiming that the "Criminal Investigation branch of the IRS" had "issued a warrant for my arrest" and that I should call back on a certain number. Interestingly, when the message mentioned calling back, the recording said "I" and "me" to refer to the "person" who had made the recording.
Recorded message of an electronic voice threatening "legal" action. Probably the IRS scam. I didn't call them back. The IRS will never contact you by phone, they will send you mail. Certified mail. Mail clearly identifying who to contact by when and what they want.
I received a call from 305-363-3986 with the same pre-recorded message claiming the "IRS" has a "warrant for my arrest" and they are "monitoring my actions". It is clearly a scam and I worry that others may fall for it. Beware!
I received a voice message without a caller ID # but the message was stating for me to call 3053633986 to speak with an IRS agent and when I called the number back the agent stated that her name was Sandra Johnson and her IRM number was 59256 and when she answered the phone she quickly transferred me over to another agent who was asking me about me credit cards and banking account very aggressively. The agent then proceeded to tell me to go outside to my car to charge my phone because he had some information to give me. I questioned his every move and then he hung up and didn't answer when I called back.
