Actually, this isn't true. If you engage them and keep them on the line as long as possible they will get more and more angry and eventually stop calling you. I know this works because I've done it. In fact, I now have an automated system that answers their calls and wastes their time with a recording that pretends to be a live person. Listening in as it slowly dawns on them what's going on is absolutely priceless.
That number has been calling for a few times. I do not answer unknown names or numbers. I assume that almost all are telemarketers or scams. Fed up to have a telephone. We live in a very ugly world.
Had to tell "Lisa with Card Services" they reached a business number/church...they say they will remove but I get a call a day and half later with the same area code, same prefix but last few digits scrambled. Again, explaining, a business number/church...no credit cards here!
