We were in Miami two years ago and had to use SAFELITE glass replacement for our windshield. The RAT that showed up tried THREE TIMES to get us to sign a contract saying we would give him various amounts of CASH (from $500 to $400 to $300) *ON TOP OF* our FULL COVERAGE Insurance claim. When that didn't work he tried to STALL until it started raining to get out of actually having to do the work. All the while talking to his 'manager' on the phone in SPANISH so we could not understand what they were saying.
Ever since then, we've been getting "FLORIDA" spam calls like this one WEEKLY.
The calls from nearly ALL 305- 368 xxxx numbers are associated with illegitimate activities. These numbers are purchased from unscrupulous vendors, who do not care how the scammers use them, only the ill-gained monies in their pockets. It is best to not answer ANY of the calls from such numbers, and CERTAINLY to not return calls to these, or other suggested numbers, as this will only lead to many more scammer's calls. The calls are not about bad debts, but an attempt to get people's credit card numbers, so they can rip them off.
Received numerous telephone calls from this number from a girl named Lisa. She stated that the telephone call is in regards to my credit cards. I hung up. You would think that all these scam telephone calls that come in from numerous people with telephone numbers ranging from "in regards to you credit card and technical support people" and so on and so on, where are the people to put a stop to these annoying telephone calls. You report these call in web sites like this but nothing is being done.
NEWS FLASH! Get these people off the telephones and stop harassing all people that are receiving these.
But there are things being done! Sites like this help to inform others of the current scams, so they are not victimized. Also possible solutions are offered, such as information as how to report violations of the do not call registry, and call blocking. If people that simply came to sites such as this to complain, also alerted other of the scams, much could be accomplished.
