The callers are the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies, in an attempt to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers, so they can rip us off. People that have given their card numbers to these junkies have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these lowlifes, and warn others, before they are cheated!
I dialed 9 to talk to someone to get off the list and they hung up. They call a couple of days later with #305-368-8250 (came up Florida on ID). Dialed 9 again. I asked to be removed again and the guy said "why did you dial 9, you idiot" - this pissed me off and I freaked. I said I dialed 9 because it was the only option. Demanded to speak to their manager - they laughed at me and wouldn't put them on. I hung up because I was so pissed.
Nothing can be gained by having a conversation with addicts, such as the "card services" scammers. It would be best to leave their calls go unanswered, and to NEVER return their calls!
I'm definitely going to avoid all calls that say Florida for now on. The only reason I answered it was because my spouse is actually in Florida on business. It's just annoying because I know I'm going to be getting these calls all the time. I used to get them several months back and it started back up again.
If you have the ability to block calls, I would suggest you, and others, block all calls coming from both the 305 and 360 area codes, as these are the ones currently being used by this particular "cell" of "card services" scammers.
