WARNING--BEWARE!! These callers are B I G credit card criminals, known as the card service scammers. Under NO circumstances give these lowlifes your credit card number, or you will regret it forever!
The card service scammers WILL "service" our credit cards, BUT, when they finish "servicing" them, they will have NO available credit remaining. People that are fooled into having their cards "serviced" will have a MINIMUM of $795.00 charged to them, and many times the entire amount remaining on the card. The card service scammers are a disgusting group of degenerates, who prey on the low income, and the elderly, but will cheat anyone that they can.
Received a recorded call this morning--started with something like this: 'I'm calling about your credit card. There's no problem, but we wanted to let you know you're now eligible for lower rates....' I'm on the do not call list, but that doesn't seem to stop them. Search indicates this is a mobile phone near Miami FL.
Ditto for what Fran 51 said...including being on the "do not call list". Not sure if this is the exact number, but it was the same type call...something about lowering credit card rates. A few times I've listened to the entire message hoping to hear what number to press in order to be removed from their list and sometimes they offer one, but they still call back anyway. One time I pressed the prompt to be removed from their list and it connected me to a representative and when I told the representative that I pressed the prompt to be removed from their list and asked if they could remove me from the list they hung up on me.
My machine picks these up, even if they don't leave a message. Same crap for years. Has "rip off" all over it. Why can't they make a blocking code so we can prevent calls from these known "wrong numbers"?????
