The callers are the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies, in an attempt to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers, so they can rip us off. People that have given their card numbers to these junkies have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these lowlifes, and warn others, before they are cheated! The card service scammers WILL "service" our credit cards, BUT, when they finish "servicing" them, they will have NO available credit remaining! These are are an especially disgusting group of scammers, as they target the low income and the elderly, who many times, due to financial considerations, do not have caller id and the internet to protect themselves. We, who are aware of these lowlifes, need to inform our friends and relatives, before they become victims.
Telemarketing called saying they were "MC/Visa" direct, and because of our excellent pay history, wanted to lower the interest rate on "ALL" of our MC & Visa cards to 6%, regardless of which bank issued them which they claimed did not matter. They then went through a series of steps trying to get me to give them key info on the cards so they could verify I was the authorized card owner. I kept asking for a number I could call to confirm the offer was legit, but they refused so I hung up. It is obviously a scam.
