Call during the daytime. Me work day. Love nighttime - got to bookie!
Really lame if you can't advertise on the internet, FLORIDA. Might as
well go door-by-door!
I got a call from (305) 368 8874. I was prompted to press nine (9) to connect to a live representative,
Informing me that I have a pre-qualify to lower my interest rate from over 12% to as low as 6%!
I was instructed to give out my expiration date and of course my credit card number. I could smell
them from three miles away, so I gave them a complete random bogus credit card number.
When they realized I was on to them, they changed their tone, and told me that because I didn't
give them my real number, they told me that they'll cancel my credit card! I just laughed at them
I told them to give me their number and I'll call my bank and I'll talk to her then seriously, sure enough,
oh no on, can't do that!! just give me card number, you get as low as 6% ok?? them damn M.E. Indians!!
The more I laughed, the more angrier they got, screw em'.. they where out to screw me anyway, so... why not.
I tried to call them crooks back, and the call was a non working number signal.
Recorded message claimed to be from "card services" with an offer to lower the interest on my credit card. I pay no interest on credit cards, so it is not from a legitimate credit card company. NEVER give out your personal information to people who place a call to you claiming to be from a company with whom you have a relationship. Only give out such information (i.e. name, address, account number, etc) when you place the call to the company through a number you know to be legitimate. I would report the number to the National Do Not Call Registry, however, due to the government shutdown, the website is "closed."
I went to a live person during the call and asked him to identify me. He came back with a name of someone who does not live in my house and never has, which is further proof that it is not a legitimate company with whom I have a relationship.
BTW: "Scam" needs to be included as a selection in the drop down menu for "Call Type"
