This number called me. I pushed "9" to be connected to a person. When I asked that person to please take my number off their list, he said, "you can talk to my d***." (word rhymes with "vick.") I asked to speak with his supervisor, and he repeated his earlier comment. I kept repeating that I would like to speak with someone else (I refused to be intimidated and just get off the phone.) He started laughing and proceeded to get more graphic about what his body parts would like to do to my body parts (all the while, calling me "ma'am.") He then started asking me how old I was, was I young? and how big were certain parts of my anatomy?
I did stay on the line because he wasn't going to chase me off by his disgusting ways, and I simply kept repeating that I wished to speak to someone else. He eventually got bored with me, and hung up.
I IMMEDIATELY called the Federal Trade Commission and reported the entire incident. I encourage everyone else to do the same. They told me this is probably just one or two guys sitting in a room trying to collect credit card info. You can look up the number for the FTC on their website. Use the 305 phone number when you file the claim. The person I spoke with wrote them up on several violations. The more people who report them, the better chance we have of getting rid of them.
