Someone from identifying themselves as from "Market Services" for Visa and Mastercard just called (10 am EST), when I asked them Who they were, they just hanged the phone. I have my number on the No Call List.
When I pressed '9' to talk to a real person, I was told that Experian (the credit score people) had specially selected my credit card profile because I have good credit. I told the person on the phone I don't care about being specially selected and that I'd like to be taken off their list. I was then told it would cost me 700 (!!!!!!) dollars to be taken off the list. When I expressed my shock and surprise and asked to speak to a supervisor, the guy started cussing me out.
