This number calls all the time about lower rate credit cards. When asked to take us off the call list they just hang up then keep calling. The annoying part is I don't even own a cc.
A prerecorded message said the call was from card member services about my credit card account, that there was no problem with the account, but that they I might be able to get a lower rate. I do not have any active credit card accounts. I pressed a number to speak to a live agent. I asked for the company name, and was told it was "Card member services", normally a department *within* a bank or credit card company. I asked for the address of the corporate HQ. I was told "Orlando, FL". I asked if I did an internet search or D&B search for "Cardmember Services" in Orlando FL if I would find this company. I got no answer. Then I asked how they could offer a reduced rate on a credit card that I don't even have. Silence. When I asked why the rep could not answer he these simple questions he repeatedly said, "Shut the f*** up, you shut the f*** up." When I asked to speak to his supervisor he said, "Shut the f*** up" again. When I told him I was on the Florida and National DNC lists and demanded to speak to his manager he repeated his favorite phrase again, then hung up on me. Filed on-line reports with FL and US DNC lists.
