Caller ID says "AYATS,PEDRO." No voicemail left. Searching for that name turns up a couple of reports of an attempted credit card scam as well as a Twitter spambot. Reported to Twitter.
Yep, same name: Ayats, Pedro. One hour ago. I was silent and I heard it click off. After a while, no doubt they will use a different spoof number. Most of these calls will say "unavailable" or "unknown" or some kind of "service". I usually will hit the # or * key and just keep my finger on it for at least 10 seconds. Someone said it confuses the system. Don't know if true or not. Otherwise, I let it go to answering machine (but they never leave a message). But I find when I do that, they just call back at all different hours. There was a number three weeks ago that kept calling exactly 1 hr apart, all day. Second day I picked up and hit the #. No more calls which does not mean that maybe it is Pedro now calling with a different number.
