"Lisa" from a credit card scamming company directed me to a live rep. I like to screw with them. May not do any good, but it makes me feel good when they get pissed off. I talked to a rep with a strong middle eastern accent. I played very very dumb and asked a lot of questions. Kept him on the line for over 8 minutes before he insisted he could not continue the discussion without my credit card name. He insisted he did not need personal info, but he had to know which credit card I was "concerned about." I said he should already have that information, and he got a bit confused. Finally, I had to leave and said, "Do you think I'm dumb enough to tell you anything? Your company is a f**king fraud, and your boss has been indicted for fraud and you will go to prison with him."
And then he began to repeat over and over: "F**K YOU, F**K YOU, F**K YOU.* Went on for at least a minute before disconnecting.
Did I accomplish anything? Probably not. But I feel better, and that's all that counts.
Well, you may have delayed for a few minutes some innocent/naive person from falling victim to this scam. Apparently, robo-Heather and robo-Rachel have now been replaced by robo-Lisa. This is the same old "lower your credit card rate" scam, correct? My caller ID name read "Cell Phone FL" and I've learned to just disconnect incoming calls when caller ID shows a location rather than a name -- those types of calls are always scam/nuisance calls, my experience anyway. But, it is nice to know what I missed/avoided if somebody has posted the info here.
I got a male representative who talked over me. I finally asked, "Can you hear me? Can you hear me?" He said he could but just kept asking what my balance was on my credit cards. I kept asking him to remove my number and he kept NOT responding to that statement. I asked to talk to a supervisor and he said, "Oh, you don't want to talk to my supervisor." Then kept asking me about my credit cards. For the record, I don't have a credit card balance, I pay in full every month, so no clue why they're calling me.
