When you do business with ANYONE you should make sure they don't release your information. In many cases your info is released to the callers and it is perfectly legal. You can opt out of information sharing outside companies you do business with but not one of their subsidiaries. So if ABC Bank owns Acme Solicitations, it si legal to call you without regard to your preference not to be called. Personally I try to sell telemarketers a pig and I get really pushy about it. They generally hang up on me and don't call back. Try it they don't like it. Another way is to say "Hang on and I will get him/her" and lay the phone down. They are on quotas and this screws up their response time.
Playing with telemarketers can actually be amusing from time to time.
Apparently this scam artist was very, very busy on the 4th because he called my DNC listed phone too. I wasn't around to answer the call though. I wonder how many people he suckered into his scam.
Got a call from 305-389-6245 - unknown name. on July 4th. at 12:47 PM. Thank goodness for caller ID, I ignored it. Of course no message left. I'd like to leave a message to them....
