I got the same call about 20 minutes ago advertising home security. The disconnected and I tried calling back, I got some kind of switch message saying I dont have the ability make calls of this type.
I got the same message as you when trying to call back saying I could not make calls to that number with this phone. What gets me is I know that it's because of companies that you DO have business with like Sprint for example that are giving (selling) information to these companies. Anytmime you upgrade and get a new plan they are SUPPOSED to ask you about info sharing regarding your phone number and email address. They are supposed to have someting they click on that says "No". I know this because I used to work for Verizon Wireless and have working for a Bank for 8yrs. I used to NEVER get these calls unless it was the wrong number before until I upgraded by Sprint plan. Next thing you know about 3-5 weeks later....I started getting multiple random calls from multiple states. Thanks a lot Sprint
Received the call about 4:30 p.m. There was an advertisement about home security and it disconnected pretty quickly. I also received this call yesterday. When I try to call the number back it said I don't have the ability to make calls to this type of service.
