These people are scammers. I got online doing research on a home refinance. I filled out what I thought was a legit application, only putting in a tiny bit of my information. I work in media, so I am so skeptical of most things online. I did include my phone number in the app. I spoke briefly with the individual just to see what he had to say (especially once I realized what type individual I was speaking with). He had a thick Middle Eastern accent, but advised me his name was "Michael Smith". Really? They claim to be a payday/installment loan company. They offer to loan you money, but to "prove" you have 10% down to cover your first payment (for a loan of say $1000), they want you to go to the nearest CVS store & purchase a "voucher" and put $100 on it for them to "verify" you are good for the first payment. I ask the guy what type moron did he think me to be & did he really think I was going to go load $100 on a card for him to scam me. I finally grew tired of his shenanigans & told him this was not even the type of loan I was look for & do not call me again. He hung up on me. If this even helps one person but aggravation was not in vain.
I got a call from a man called Max. He said he was Primer Finacail in Seattle. This is close to home. He spoke engilish every well. I asked him if I had to go to any store and purchase a money card of any kind because some one already tried that on me this week. He said no. Gave me the website he is working with. USALOANZ.com I went there and did as he promted to verity a creditscore. he provided pass codes and when it came to putting a card in to get my score I told I don't have a card and we could not finish with out it. I told him a score close to mine but would not finish the process.
Be very careful. Don't give these people ANY kind of information it is all a scam. The government has a website describing these different scams including the "advance payment loan scam" which is what your caller thief was trying to do. Here is the US government web site.
These people with blow your phone up until you answer. I received hundreds of calls from these people. They are Asian accent and are scammers. They want your information to steal your identity. Do not give them any information. They tell you they need your credit score to approve your loan for a lower interest rate and after you give them your scores they tell you that you must log into another credit bureau and get more scores. They are fake. Don't get them anything. Its a shame people have to pray on people that need help.
They are a scam. They are calling from a Miami number saying that they are calling from Premier Financial out of Seattle. They had me to do an application and register on ScoreSense to get the credit score. While I was on the line for them someone else from their office called on the other line and told me I had to do the application all over again because it didn't go through. When I told them I was on the phone with their company, the person hung up on me. Within 10 minutes of completing the application, someone called again from their office and had me to go to a totally different website to do another application and another score. They promised to cancel the Scoresense credit within 24 hours. I had to cancel it myself 3 days later. Today, 3 days later, after not getting a confirmation email or a loan from them, they call me back again with the same pitch.
