Another solar energy 'lead hunter' robocalling lying scum.
After the robocall delay, a pleasant lady came on and said she was calling from the "Smart Saving Group" to follow up on a request for information they received regarding home solar energy.  Of course I never requested any such information.  I interrupted her 'script' to confirm the company name - which of course is fake.  I asked where they were located and she said Florida but they work with solar installers all over the country.
These boiler room operations robocall thousands of numbers an hour via the internet using computerized homeowner lists and fake 'from' numbers.  They are trying to set appointments for home solar consultations that they then sell to local installers that may or may not be any good.  However - since they break the law with their marketing, lie to start the conversation, and hide behind fake names and numbers - they are scum.  Never deal with anyone that cold-calls you.
I told her I had made no inquiry, and asked to be removed from their call list - which she said that she would do.  When I tried to get more specific information about the company (for use in filing a complaint), she hung up.
Bet they call again.
