One of the many numbers that call me since getting this phone number almost a year ago.
Do Not Call Registry does not work, I have reported many times.
Most of these calls are for the person who had this number before me.
Also received a call from this number. It was a timeshare sales ploy. They rattled off a company name (Island Resorts or something like that- probably fake). Caller asked for a specific name so they knew we already had a Timeshare. (as I am a co-owner) and claimed that we bought and have not used a $500 vacation several years ago.
Caller immediately went into the spiel of how they are authorized to apply the credit to a $629 package that includes.......Disney, several nights in Orlando etc etc.... When he started reading from the script he sounded like a robot. Would not or did not hear me interrupt.
When he took a breath and heard me say "Really? Really? I don't recall buying any vacation", He hung up !!
I don't understand why this industry continously uses these tactics! I've also received many hang ups as descrbed above. These come from Florida numbers but also all over the U.S. including Texas.
recd a call this morning on this number.....immediately after answering with the word hello, they said this is ______ residence without me mentioning or identifing the residence....they did not identify themselves.....it is a hoax alright....they are in for a surprise, their call and number was recorded and reported to the police department.....
