caller had my name and address, purported to be from the IRS, and that there would be an arrest warrant issued today if I did not pay a very suspiciously round figure of $3,000 that I owed the IRS. He said I'd be taken to jail, interrogated, and all assets seized. Thick Indian accent. Now I see the forums are full of similar reports from various (305) numbers. IRS will always start with mail notifications, which, of course I never received. The man tried to explain this by saying they tried twice, but nobody was home to accept delivery. That's not how USPS works, of course. For mail requiring a signature, they'll leave you a notice to either sign for delivery the following day, or go pick it up at the local Post Office.
Received a call on my cell phone from a guy with an indian accent, stating that the IRS has issued an arrest warrant for me and my physical address. I know these are scam calls and it is really awful that these scumbags are out there preying upon people. There will be some elderly people that will fall for this. I wish there was someway to stop them!!

Message left on my machine stated that a warrant has been issued for my arrest at my address and I needed to contact Brian Snyder of the IRS before end of day.
