Folks - it's nearly 2017 and you are still answering out-of-area and unknown telephone calls? Some people even call the telemarketer's number back???
Try this - let the answer machine or VM take the call. In today's world everyone gets these criminal telemarketer calls...home, cell or business. All of our distant customers or vendors know to leave a message if we don't pickup.
We have had the 305 area code blocked since their first call Oct 19th. BTW, they called twice today!
Today, we received calls from Vermont (802 area code - blocked) and IL (217 area code blocked.) Our phones do not ring when these criminals call and our office is not disturbed.
Didn't recognize the caller number...didn't answer...glad I checked it out here. Half of my calls are telemarketers... so I rarely answer the phone anymore. Does the DNC list have any meaning?
Just called our business. Caller id said 'Growth' so I just hit the speaker button not once but twice-that way it picks up and disconnects immediately. And in answer to your question about the DNC list-I am beginning to think the only purpose it serves is to give the telemarketers phone numbers to call b/c we constantly get calls at home (which I have now blocked) with local area codes but the prefix always starts with a "1". No prefix in the USA anywhere will begin with a "1". (Ex: 817-163 or 214-198......) I only wish businesses could be on the DNC list but then again probably wouldn't do any good.
