I received an unsolicited fax to Sarah Cohen from Jackie Morretti stating it was a requested "New Collections Proposal Overview".
It noted that it IS NOT an unsolicited fax but it was- No Sarah works in my office and the fax was transmitted at 12:56AM EST
The collections proposal was too good to be true so I looked up DGM Financial and found these coments.
We received same illegal unsolicited fax this morning, from DGM Financial Group.
I'm submitting mine, along with the others and documentation, to the FCC.
But don't stop there, pursue it under the unsolicited fax law; you can potentially collect a bundle, especially from repeat offenders. Well okay, sometimes you can't collect but it's worth the little investment.
Everyone who hits this search result should do the same.
DGM also has some business practice complaints filed against them.
Interesting that Ms. Morretti can't spell her own name, especially on a fax she's been sending for over a year now.
FYI, we do prosecute these unsolicited faxes; small claims court is quick and easy. My attorney LOVES it when they nail their own coffins shut like DGM did: "...this IS NOT an unsolicited fax." is like waving a red flag in front of the judge.
Oh, and when you get a judgement and they don't pay ... woo-hoo, you get to be a thorn in THEIR side.
Finally, the system DOES work ... a couple years ago, I worked with the FTC to shut down one of these fax/phone/scam operations, and the guy handling the case was nice enough to call me right from the scammer's office after the raid.
