I call back after hours (using *67 to block my number). I hear the following, "you have reached a disconnected number. qvd19"
So they don't have the ability to be called back. Sounds like a SCAM.
Others have reported two names associated with "BCSF":
1) Breast Cancer Survivors Foundation. I googled the name. There is a group by that name in New Jersey; that group is reported to give a whopping 0.04% of their funds to breast cancer. Scammers do seem nomadic, and Florida (305 area code) seems rife with fraud; maybe it is them.
2) Breast Cancer Survival Fund. I googled this as well. There are a ton of such funds generally named something like "Jane Doe's Breast Cancer Survival Fund".
In either case this name seems generic enough to be anyone. This also makes it harder to see if they are legit or not. I lean to the latter.
Combining this with the rude high pressure boiler room behavior of the callers (as reported in this thread), makes it hard to believe that they are legitimate.
Received calls from bcsf, morning and night from them and again this morning. Was informed that Charities NOT BOUND BY DO NOT CALL LIST..SO YOU CAN BE BOTHERED BY ANYONE THAT COMES UP WITH A FAKE CHARITY..
Said they were calling me back and started reading a canned message. I asked where she was calling from and she kept on reading the canned message. I asked her twice again and she said from their office in Utah. What threw me was the area code 305 is for Miami. Hmmm. I told her to remove my cell phone number from their list and hung up. I did call the number back and there was a recording to be removed from their list but they just keep changing their phone numbers. I also blocked it with Privacy Star.
