This is the phone number of a fraudulent business that calls itself, the "Diabetic Discount Club." They are located somewhere in Florida, as are most of these other diabetic supply scam artists. When I asked how they got my number, some idiot read from a script... "you or someone you know requested an update for your glucose monitor." I told them that I didn't make the request and that I would like to know who "the someone else" was who made this "request" for me. The caller, who said his name was "Matthew," said he was not "authorized" to give out that information. I then said, "Why should I believe you?" He then transferred me to his manager, who said his name was "Sonny Johnson," who proceeded to spout the same lies and nonsense, using the same exact phrasing. I live in New York and it is mandatory by law for any supplier or seller of medical equipment in New York State or in any other state to have a license. This statute also dictates that the supplier or seller must reveal that license number upon request. I asked Sonny if his company has a license. He said yes. I asked for the license number and he refused. I informed him that it is incumbent upon him by law to provide that number if asked. He mumbled something and hung up. Give these idiots not one bit of information. Instead of answers, give them questions.
