Ignored because I do not know anybody who would be calling from there. Blocking caller so I will not have to listen to the phone ringing the next time they call. Life is simplier with a good phone with a silent ringtone assigned to the scammers!!!
As mentioned by a previous post this is a robocall for GE security systems. No message left on the answering machine but the same number will call you over and over again until you answer. When you DO answer, automated voice message that you have to listen to in order to talk to a live human being in order to be taken off the call list.
After 3 calls in 2 hours on a Saturday I finally answered and got cranky with the telemarketer at the other end. He suggested that "why don't I learn some manners" and he'd take me off the mailing list if "I asked nicely." When I said no and that I'd like to talk to his supervisor, he finally hung up.
Don't know if it's a legit company or if this will stop the calls but it is infuriating to be constantly bothered by these calls and then HAVE to spend your time finding a way to get the calls to stop.
FTC & FCC need to go after the SERVICE PROVIDERS for anyone using telephone & internet or wireless devices to harass citizens. Our Government needs to enact and enforce laws to hold telecommunications service providers as "accomplices" to crime. We ALL need to contact our U.S. Representatives & Senators and demand legislation to STOP fraudulent scamsters from harassment by telephone!
If we ALL contact our Senate & Congressional Representatives and demand their involvement, there may be hope for containing this growing nuisance! CALL YOUR LEGISLATORS every time you get nuisance calls! Flood THEIR phone lines!
p.s. Sellers of "spoofing" software need to be shut down and punished with stiff fines &/or other deterrants (prison).
