I am getting multiple calls a day from different #'s stating they are from microsoft/windows and I have a corrupted system and they can show me how to fix it. If you ask them a question they have to stop reading and they get all confused. DO NOT give them any information and do not let them get into your system.
call to my cell phone from what has to be a spoofed number (can a 7-digid number start with a zero?). It was some man with a heavy foreign accent, probably trying to phish me or gain access to my PC, but I couldn't understand a word he was saying.
I got a call from some guy with an Indian accent who was obviously reading from a script. He told me that he was calling from Microsoft and over the past 2 weeks they had been getting reports of problems from my system. He asked if I was the business owner. This is a private cell number, not a business. I asked if the guy if he thought that I would actually fall for his lame scam,. He said this was not a scam and started to explain more about the nature of his call. I cut him off and saidf I sounded like some kind of mouth breathing dumb [***] mentally challenged idiot like him and assured him that I definitely am not. He started to stutter and then he muttered something in his language that I am sure was a curse word and promptly hung up. What a [***]!
