Telemarketer for a car warranty company. Selling warranties for ppeople with cars that have fallen out of warranty.
Rude, asked for me by name, lots of talking in background. Sounded like telemarketer pool. When I asked who was calling, said her name was Robin. I asked where she was calling from, she hung up. Very, very rude. Raised her voice and repeatedly asked for me but would identify where she was calling from.
I called the number back. It is a telemarketer selling car warranties. These people are morons.
I, too, received a call from this company. I own a Ford vehicle purchased from Southgate Ford in Michigan. The warranty is expiring soon and I'm starting to get calls and junkmail from warranty companies. Perhaps when I bought the car there was some fineprint in the contract that said I authorized them to sell my contact information, but I do not appreciate that policy of their giving out my contact information and phone number. I apologize to Ford if I'm drawing a bad conclusion here and if there's some other way these companies can get ahold of that information, but I can't imagine how these companies could know that I went for a lesser common warranty period length without being told that directly by this dealership or Ford Motor Company itself. Not cool.
Not sure how these folks got my cell phone #, that really ticks me off. And they keep on bugging me to purchase an extended warranty on the car that currently has 94K miles on it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! What part of this really is not going to work for me do they not understand?
