It is Glass Mountain Capital, a second or third tier scum bag collection agency. Had a $1,200 root canal three, four years ago. Dentist office sold me a GE Money payment plan. I thought GE'd be sending me a payment book or something, but found out later I was to pay them monthly myself . Missed one payment, they wanted to charge me $800 "interest" and I paid GE Money the entire $1,200 right away, in a lump sum. They then started bugging me to collect their "$800 penalty." They resold the collection to some scum bags who resold it to another scum bag. They've called once or twice a day for three years. I have "caller blocked" service. It's been Glass Mountain for several months now. I just ignore them. Out of curiosity, I did talk once to that same nasty, abrasive lady. Hung up on her.
Got call from 313-334-4130 this a.m. First some guy sounding like calling from India wanted me to tell him my name. Hung up and called it back. Got a black lady who refused to tell me what she wanted until I gave her my name. Slipped when I pressed her for ID and said she was calling from "Grass Mountain Calpital" or something like that. Rang off when I told her I was on the do-not-call list and wouldn't answer anything until she told me what she wanted from me. Really pissed. Now the damned marketers are calling from local phone numbers, bot far away area codes.
I received a call from 313-334-4130, asking me to verify the last four digits of my soc. sec. number. I refused to do so, and he said good luck and hung up. I do not know these people, nor do I know what they are calling in reference to.
Live in Detroit. Call came up as local 334-4130. Wanted me to "press one" if I answered that I was the person they were calling. Some guy sounded like he was calling from India. I hung up and called the number back and got a strange sounding black lady who wanted to know my name and was very evasive when I declined to give it to her. But she did slip and respond, when asked: "This is Grass Mountain Capital" or something like that. I told her I was on the do-not-call list and asked if she was trying to sell me a credit card or something. She insisted on me giving her my name before she would answer and questions and was very snotty. She then kissed me off with "I'll call back later" and hung up. New twist. Normally the fishing calls come from other area codes, not mine.
