Can anyone explain to me what this is and how I got it?

Got a text today at 2:40 central time with my name and HAHA and then a link to cnbcnews.com about a get-rich-quick story. I thought the do not call registry was supposed to take care of stuff lile this!!

Received a message at 7:46 am central "[my name].... HaHa http://bit.ly/......."  Sketchy link which I did NOT click on.

Frustrating!
