Just got the call. I said hello three times before I heard a woman's voice describe an offer for a free alarm system. In return, I'd have to agree to let them put one of their signs on my front lawn. I interrupted and asked if this was a pre-recorded message or a live call. She said it was live, and I told her I am leary of unsolicited phone calls because of all the scams going on. When I indicated I already have an alarm system, she told me I don't qualify and my phone number would be removed from their list (yeah right!). What puzzles me is why she didn't identify the company name and why a company based in Detroit (i.e., the 313 area code) would be calling people in New Jersey.
