Caller left message on phone machine saying he was Special Agent Gene Correction, with DEA and my name had come up in an ongoing, criminal investigation in ref. to pharmaceutical websites being shutdown and he left his number as Erica 313-355-9178 which I thought was odd. Called number back and it did say it was the DEAs office of administration but when my husband gave them the name of who called us, they hung up. I called the DEA office from their website and it seems like this is a SCAM number that has been used many times. He did not say anything about money or warrants on the message machine . But it was a scam number per the Dea's REAL 800#.
I received a message today at my home from this number. The message was for my husband who died over 8 years ago. The man stated he was with the DEA and he needed to speak to my husband in reference to some sort of drug investigation. I called the number back and got a recording but did not leave a message. My phone rang again with 5 minutes and it was the same number & there was a small child in the background. I informed the man that my husband had died over 8 years ago and I could not relay a message to him. What in the heck is going on with this?
Officer Mark Thomas with DEA District #97 in Michigan is looking to arrest me in an case that was never closed. Uh hello....never been to Michigan. Not even close. So unprofessional I caught it right away. Just another bunch of scammers.
