They are collecting on PayDay loans that were issued in New York and Maryland where they are illegal. Report them to the FTC, the CFPB and the New York Attorney General. Save the letters they send with a Canadian return address, they are an FDCPA violation by themselves (keep the envelope they are mailed with a Syracuse NY pre-sorted mail permit). A class action attorney could have a field day with a written threat of legal action on an illegally originated pay-day-loan.

They called me too re a "local merchant" debt. I called back and the woman whose name was "Rene Shipley" started to talk about a 7 year old credit card payment. I just hang up on her. They threaten people about old and expired debt which may or may not had been in existence. A real ugly operation! DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM! Especially DO NOT PAY A PENNY!!!!

Caller said that I owed money for a US Bank credit card? I use to have one but I'm not sure what this is. He said his name was Joe Matthews. Said that I owed over 2,000..... I looked them up.
