Received text from this number wanting to purchase the piano I was selling in Utah while they said they were in Michigan. Wanted my full contact info to put on a "Bank Certified Cashier Check" or "Verified Postal Money Order". They also specified their shipper would pick up the piano once I had somehow sent them money. I'm not sure how this would have worked and was already suspicious.
This number put an ad on the local Craigs List looking for a caretaker/nanny for "Patty Jones" and her'
disabled 6 year old son. She wanted to send a $2000.00 dollar check to be cashed, $400.00 for me
to keep and $1600.00 to be sent to a wheel chair company so a wheel chair would be here when she arrived. ANYTHING TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE IS !!!!! She said to deposit the check and wait for 2 to 3 days for it
to clear before sending the $1600.00 EVERY BANK HAS BY LAW 7 WORKING DAYS IN WHICH THEY CAN RETURN A CHECK FOR INSUFFICIENT FUNDS TO THE BANK IN WHICH IT WAS DEPOSITED!!
BEWARE!! You'd be out the 1600.00 if you sent it as well as the 2000.00 for the bad check!!
just told this 'person' to have a good day!!! LOL.. tried to call using the 313 number. THEN, started texting me using 781-281-8140. The name originally listed was female... BUT, when I answered the call from the 313 #, it was male and sounded 'Indian.'.. maybe. Connection was terrible---means calling from some computer with bad internet connection.... BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!
