I have had four calls from this number in 24 hours, and nobody ever speaks - there is just silence from their end (not even background noise). Then they hang up after 45 seconds. Seems strange that some people receive silent calls and others don't.
It's friggin Suncorp....after weeks (yes weeks) of constant calls (I have it diverted straight to my message bank), I just rang them up and gave it to them. Why are they calling me? Why can't they leave a message like normal people? Why do they have to call me 3-4 time per day? What do they want?
Basically told the customer service guy I wasn't a fan and that I don't appreciate being harressed...he said he would pass my details onto the relevant person....he stated it was their outbound calls department (whatever the hell that means) making the calls. I told him it reeked of telemarketing and cold-calling and that this number - 31354949 - is all over Google as dodgy and that it's not doing them any favours.
Thing was he sounded like he knew who I was talking about. He was a cagey one too - probably covering for his dirty co-workers in the "outbound calls" boiler-room.
