I got a call from this number and they wanted a friend of mine, they would not identify who they were, but they wanted me to identify myself. I said, "that is personal information" and they hung up
I received a call from this number today, and they hung up just as I answered.
When I try calling back, all I get is a busy signal - even after repeated attempts.
I received a missed call from this number and it listed as IRS, but when i tried to call it back, the number was not in service. also, no message was left
My 91 year old father took this call and gave the "IRS" agent my address and phone numbers. The guy called my cell and left a voice mail to call the 'IRS' at 1-800-829-3903 with some bogus "case number." Now I am getting calls to my cell from 702-363-1744. Also a scam. I have already put a freeze on my credit and am watching for any changes in my credit.
Its important to warn the elderly and the naive never to give out any personal information. Take the number and we will call back - or, NOT!
I received a voice message from this number telling me it was the IRS trying to contact me. They gave me a bogus "case number " and asked me to call them back at 800-829-3903, (IRS Collections Dept). I wasted an hour of my day on hold most of the time and spoke to 2 IRS agents at this 800 number. Both agents told me calls from this number are a known scam and to not give out any personal information to an unknown caller. Scam, Scam, Scam. If the IRS wants to contact you they will send a letter.
