If you call them back then it voids the do not call list so that's why they hang up.

received call on cell phone...which of course is on do not call list....didn't answer but from comments appears that it is a credit card scammer

Received a call from 314-267-8762 at 11:55 am PT.  As I've been getting calls like this I did not answer so I don't know for sure if it was a scammer or not but having Googled the number and it appears that other people have reported this number is one.
