I got one too. At first it almost sounded like a computer voice, but she was so odd in her accent and inflection that I figured it couldn't be. Then a quick Google search showed that it was life insurance sales. I'm looking for a job, but I don't do sales.
Lady with old fashioned operator voice named "Teresia" said her hiring mgr. saw my resume and wanted an interview. Had to ask what company and position. She said "American Income" (left out the "Life Insurance" part) and the position was "Benefits Representative". Asked what the duties were and she said "Answer employee questions and make sure they fill out the paperwork correctly" and that was it. Turns out, they cast a wide net, regardless of background, give you a two-minute 1-on-1 interview, then usher you into a big room to hear their sleazy sales manager's presentation about getting union members to sign up for life insurance. He'd be a good time share or used car salesman.
Bottom Line: IT'S LIFE INSURANCE SALES. American Income Life uses fraudulent methods to lure unsuspecting job seekers in. Bait and Switch. If their business practices are anything like their hiring practices, they should be investigated. STAY AWAY
